In room 7 for writing we have been writing books for others students at our school. Here is what me and my friend have written so far
Quiet shadows
Chapter 1
Icy fingers griped my arm in the darkness, it was a cold night and I was staring at the glow in the dark stars mum had stuck on the ceiling last Summer. I was about to get up to close the window that I left open but before I could, a cold hand wrapped around my wrist and then they put there other hand onto my mouth I tried to scream Dad but it turned into a quiet mumble.
I woke up the next morning and realized I was in a thin dark place with spider webs everywhere I saw a candle so I picked it up and lit it I walked around the thin narrow place and saw a note on the wall it said that I was stuck inside the walls of hills mansion I thought that it was just a dream so I put the candle down and tried to get comfortable and then I fell asleep.
The next morning, I was really uncomfortable that’s when i realized that it wasn’t a dream I screamed and screamed help me but no one replied. I saw the candle that I lit last night it was still burning away I picked it up and walked around I saw another note on the wall it said that your father is gone, no one wants you so you must stay here I then screamed how am I supposed to get out of here. Then I heard a voice saying that you will never get out of here I started crying. I layed down to have a sleep I closed my eyes and hoped that things would be better tomorrow.
100 years later
It's my first day going to Hills International College for Girls. I applied for it a couple of months ago, it's scary but I feel confident of what i’m going to present and in about a week I’m going to find out if I get the job as a writer.
I made it past one day yesterday I felt horrible I was the only one who didn’t get past the test I was really embarrassed because I was usually top at my class back in texas I was starting to think that I was a loser. I was glad that the day was over but when I was walking home I started to sob a bit. I decided that I didn’t suit being a writer so I changed my mind I didnt know what I was going to study for but I did have the idea of being a detective but then I chuckled and said to myself why would I want to be a detective. A feeling made me run into the secret garden I used to play in with my mom before she passed away. One time when i was in the secret garden all by myself with no one nearby and when I was feeling sad, I thought I heard quiet whispers and saw shadows quietly passing by…………
Today I decided that I wanted to be a Detective. I was scared to go back to Hills international but I had to. As soon as I walked through the doors everyone started to laugh at me because of the test results yesterday so I ran out of the classroom and went into the room right next to my classroom It turned out to be the principal's office. He asked me what my name was and asked me some some other questions as soon as I had finished answering his questions he shouted you’re hired. I was so confused I asked him what job I had he lowered down his voice and said that there was a case to do he told me that it was a case from 100 years ago I asked him what It was about. Then he said it was about a 10 year old girl who disappeared I said that there was no point in doing this case if it was from 100 years ago then he said to me that she might be still alive I asked what her name was and he said Imogen then I asked him where she was last to be seen he said that she was last known to be in her room inside hills mansion.
I wrote all the details inside my notebook. I am really happy that I am now a detective but I'm also really scared because I start the case tomorrow.

It's my first day on the job I thought I was alone on the case but it turns out I have a partner called Liam Jones. We entered hills mansion and went into the little girl's bedroom I pulled out my magnifying glass to see if there were any clues. The first clue I found was a diary It was one of those diaries with a lock on it the key wasn't near the diary so I searched and searched for the key it took for ages to try and find it but I still couldn't find it. At that moment I was regretting that I took this job in the first place I also thought there's no use being a detective if I can't find clues easy.
I sat on Imogen’s bed, staring at the wall until I felt something pointy on my leg. I stood up, pulled the covers off and there it was, the key to her diary. I snatched the key off Imogen’s bed, grabbed her diary and unlocked it. I flipped through the pages, Liam sat next to me, we stopped at a page and a few words appeared on the page, we read it together, “HI guys, you might not know me but i’m Imogen I am from a hundred years back, I got trapped in my bedroom wall if you want to help me follow these steps….. It sounded like she was actually talking, It felt like she was but it also felt like she wasn’t, until i heard a banging noise. BANG! BANG! BANG! I heard the walls banging. Me and Liam stood up and put our ears close to the walls, I guess it wasn’t a dream!
This is my fillet Iphone case that I created and designed on a website called Tinkercad. We had to make a rectangle and add fillets or chamfers. In each corner we had to put a hole metafillet and group it together which makes it a round edge, which is called fillet and chamfer is like a cut off edge.
We had to make a rectangle slightly smaller than the actual phone case which would be where the phone would fit in. Once we finished doing that, we made the camera hole using a metacapsule. We also had to make holes for the charger, the volume button and the on and off button. We made the on and off button, the volume button and charger hole using a rectangle.
We made all of them hole, which means transparent. Once we had done all of those we grouped them all together. The things I found easy were the buttons, and the little rectangle for the actual phone.
What I found quite hard was the camera, and the round edges. It took me 3 days to make but the result was worth it.
