Camp Raglan was usual enough

Camp Raglan was usual enough
Camp Raglan was usual enough; it had
A gigantic hammock, A flying fox, A climbing wall
And a confidence course I never went on.
My group of friends and I
Did what most people did during camp,
Jumping up and down with enthusiasm like silly monkeys on trampolines,
Fall of the BMX, Being blindfolded while doing the not so scary Burma Trail,
Roast delicious marshmallows during the camp fire,
Stayed up late like we were pulling a all nighter,
doing everything enjoyable and enthusiastic.

This is a poem that I had written about the senior school camp that happened last week.
We had to follow a model called "the town was usual enough". Enjoy and please give
me some feedback. Blog you later !

If I were a Flood

If I were a Flood
If I were a flood,
I would destruct everything in my trail
until everything is demolished.
I would wreck buildings, houses, roads and bridges.
I would trap all the innocent people and let them suffer.
I would do as much damage as I could,
until I abandon the area
and leave all the remaining people devastated and homeless.

For writing, we had to recreate a poem which was inspired by the poem "If I were a storm. I like how it turned out but it is quite deep XD

Blog you later!

Students at Papakura Central School should NOT wear uniforms!

Students at Papakura Central School should NOT wear uniforms.

I think students at Papakura school should not wear uniforms because they should be able to express themselves not just by their character and emotion/feeling, but by style and fashion.

You also can't be yourself when you’re wearing your school uniform, right? Not everyone one is the same person, they have their individual and unique way in fashion.

We have to stick up for who we are, and how we do that is through our clothes. Whether if we’re happy, dark, or crazy, we have to show it, without having to say it, through clothes.

No one should even be caring about what other people are wearing. Students shouldn't even be paying attention to anyone else choice’s or what they wear, their attention should be on learning and their teacher.

Plus uniforms cost money. What if someone can’t afford to buy them for whatever reason.

This is why I think uniforms should NOT be worn at school. This is a free country. So say no to uniforms.

Why should we wear hats?

Students and Papakura Central School should wear hats during term 1 and 4 because you can get really bad sunburn.
Sunburn is caused by exposure { Having no protection from something harmful} to the ultraviolet {UV} rays of the sun. There is two types of ultraviolet rays, UVA {ultraviolet a} and UVB {ultraviolet b}. UVB radiation causes the most sunburn about like eighty five percent {85%}. But, most UVB rays are absorbed by sunscreens, but only about half the UVA rays are absorbed. But, both UVB and UVA can cause skin cancer.
There is also a third type of ultraviolet ray which is called UVC { ultraviolet c }. UVC is the most dangerous of them all but it is now completely blocked out by the ozone layer and doesn’t reach the earth’s surface.

So children at school, make sure you wear your hat before you go to play outside!

The Mystery Person

The Mystery Person

One dark, spooky night, I was reading my book underneath my cosy blue blanket, everyone else was asleep. Then suddenly, I heard my door creaking and open, I kept hearing noises, mysterious voices.

Suddenly, I saw this creepy ghost looking person, It was wearing a dark black robes with rips at the bottom and it had no legs! Then I suddenly thought of Harry Potter, I kept thinking it is a Dementor and it was!

It came towards me and stared straight into my eyes. It then started sucking all the good memories out of my brain! I started feeling dizzy, and a little bit confused then suddenly, I fainted!

7 hours later……
I woke up yawned, stretched and made my bed.I twitched and suddenly remember what happened last night. I then looked around, checking to see if the Dementor was still there and it wasn’t. I guess it was just a bad nightmare!

Remember that time

Remember that time

Remember that time when you went to Melbourne and watched a dragon fire show at midnight?
Remember when you did a loud high pitch scream, while you fell back when the fire went hugemongous?
That was the holidays.

Remember when you went to the freezing snows and saw a rare snow Dingo?
Remember that time when you when down a slippery hill and tobogganed down with you aunty; when you got a soggy, wet face when you finished?
That was the holidays.

Remember that time when you were really happy when you went to get a manicure with your aunty; you picked a sparkly purple nail polish?
Remember when you was driving back for that mall when you finished having a manicure; the navigator went crazy, it took you to an abandoned street, before you saw a stuffed rabbit in a tree?
That was the holidays.
