Nervous

Nerves is like pins and needles,

Something you usually feel.

It is bright, electric purple

And turns your stomach inside out.

It happens when your heart beats fast.

I fall from my legs shaking,

I'm shaking,

Out of control,

until I lay my head back,

shocked of what just happened.




Last Week we got an model about how to describe an emotion. It was about anger but the emotion I chose was Nervous. I chose nervous because it was how I felt at cross country.

3D printing

3D printing

Last week we had been learning how to make a design for 3D printing using Tinkercad which is an 3D printing website.

We had to make our names and we got a choice to make whatever we wanted. I made an flower and my name with a keyring. For my name, It was too thin and it snapped, it also wasn't grouped enough so that was something we learnt. My flower was a success which was good but it was kind of small. I had learnt so much things and had so much fun using the 3D printers.How 3D printing works is you make a design and download it onto a usb, then we have to insert the usb into a special laptop. The 3D printer is amazing and doesnt really need anthing to help it!

Plants

No petals

No purple

No pollen

No pink.

Petals falling slowly,

Turning crusty brown.

Petals spread across the ground,

The breeze taking it away.

Sunlight taken away.

No growth

No green

No germination

No healthy life.

Our topic is about land, sea and sky. This week room 7 had to write a poem based on a dead plant and the poem "blackbird".

 For Matariki week we had to research about Matariki and retell a story. This is the presentation I did with my friends and the story is about Maui and the great fish. Did you know that in thai Matariki means 7 chickens?

\ Last night we had 3 way conference which is you, your parent and teacher. This is what I had to share with my parents. 3 way conference is student led which means you do most of the talking not your teacher. The teacher job is to only tell your parents we you have been good at and explain some sentences that you need to develop. Personally I think I did really good and it went really well.

Arts through the decade

In room 7 for the last couple of weeks, we had been studying arts through the decades. Me and Lucy, my friend chose 1920's fashion and we decided to make a mannequin. We decided to put a feather around it's head and a polka dot dress also a wig of course. WE handmade the mannequin which was kind of hard. The materials we used were -old t-shirt -glad wrap -dress feathers balloon for the head -ribbon -pearls -stocking -stuffing, etc

Crazy Hair Day

Today was crazy hair day. We had crazy hair day because we were helping the green team fund raise money for a water filter. To do this we had to bring a gold coin donation. There was also prizes for the tallest, the greenest and others. I came in a pink top with blue shorts and a flower ring around my head with a ponytail.
