SLJ Paying it Forward

If I could go back in time in the 1930s and give the adults and children something, I would give them Technology and WiFi. So some of them can find a job, socialize with family around the world and meet new people or even so some certain people can become entrepreneurs so that others can find jobs too if they didn't have technology and WiFi. Technology would be really useful, especially back in the day, they would be able to research and learn and find new stuff like scientists. It mainly effects the life of adults because of business and financial problems, so they can have a good life and future if they have children or not.

Camp Raglan was usual enough

Camp Raglan was usual enough
Camp Raglan was usual enough; it had
A gigantic hammock, A flying fox, A climbing wall
And a confidence course I never went on.
My group of friends and I
Did what most people did during camp,
Jumping up and down with enthusiasm like silly monkeys on trampolines,
Fall of the BMX, Being blindfolded while doing the not so scary Burma Trail,
Roast delicious marshmallows during the camp fire,
Stayed up late like we were pulling a all nighter,
doing everything enjoyable and enthusiastic.

This is a poem that I had written about the senior school camp that happened last week.
We had to follow a model called "the town was usual enough". Enjoy and please give
me some feedback. Blog you later !

If I were a superhero

If I were a superhero

If I were a superhero
I would help all people who are injured
by using my healing ability.
I would use my extraordinary powers and abilities
to save the atmosphere and all living creatures even if it means risking my life.
I would have the ability to time travel, healing, superhuman strength and invisibility.
I would defeat all enemies and villains
Until they escape the battle and abandon the area.

For writing, we had to write a poem following the model, If I were a storm. We chose to rewrite it as a superhero, If i were a superhero. We chose superhero because today we had a superhero mufti day :)

If I were a Flood

If I were a Flood
If I were a flood,
I would destruct everything in my trail
until everything is demolished.
I would wreck buildings, houses, roads and bridges.
I would trap all the innocent people and let them suffer.
I would do as much damage as I could,
until I abandon the area
and leave all the remaining people devastated and homeless.

For writing, we had to recreate a poem which was inspired by the poem "If I were a storm. I like how it turned out but it is quite deep XD

3 Way Conference 2018

Yesterday was our 3 way conference. My dad came into the working space and I had to introduce him to the teachers. It was nerve racking but I made it through until our time slot was finished. Although I only got to share some of my work, it was still great! #

P.M.I

This Week was the Papakura Central School Variety Concert. It is where all students from all the classes preform and all the other groups too. There was a Lip Sync Battle, Dancing, Kapa Haka and many more. After all 3 performances we had to write a reflection, P.M.I.
P.M.I stands for Positive-what went well, Minus-what didn't go very well and Interesting-what needs improving.

Math equation in Sign Language

Shaye, Seane and I learnt how to sign a math equation in sign language.
I found it quite difficult because some of the words didn't have short sayings so we had to finger spell it.
Can you solve the answer?
